this temple is located to the West of Connaught Place and it is constructed by the 'Birla' industrial house in 1938. It is dedicated to goddess Lakshmi, who is the goddess of wealth and prosperity. It is mostly well known as Birla Mandir.
The design of this temple is mainly Orissa styled and tall curved towers known as sikhara. The temple has its own dharamshala means a rest house as well as 'Buddhist Vihara' means a monastery. It also has a separate section for the children with any age group with man-made caves and creatures in large gardens.
In East of Birla Temple, on Kali Bari Marg to Baba Kharak Singh Marg that is Irwin Road, the Hanuman Mandir is located. This small temple of god Hanuman is built in l724 by Maharaja 'Jai Singh' of Jaipur. Also the 'Mongal Haat' is popular market for local people.
