Parliament House is located on the northeast of the viceroy's house, which is the Council House, now that is Sansad Bhavan. It is designed by 'Baker' and circular 173 meters Diameter is suggested by 'Lutyens'. There is library inside and Legislative Assembly means the 'Lok Sabha'.
The Council House is just opposite to the the Rakabganj Gurudwara in Pandit Pan Marg. It is one of the 20th century white marble shrines and represents the late Mughal and Rajasthan style. It marks the point in 1657 at which the headless body of Guru Tegh Bahadur, the ninth Sikh Guru, was cremated.
The Cathedral Church of the redemption, built since 1927 to 1935 and is located on the west side of the Council House and the Italianate Roman Catholic Church is located on the north, it is of the sacred heart and built since 1903 to 1904, both of these buildings are conceived by 'Henry Medd' architect.
