Connaught Place is very well known business and tourist centre located at the northern end of New Delhi. It was built and named after King Emperor George V's uncle, the Duke of Connaught in 1931. This complex contains three concrete circles made up of colonnaded arcades and it is the heart of New Delhi.
Its one of the India's busy commercial hub and also a popular place for shopping. In 1995 the inner and outer circles were renamed as Rajiv Chowk and Indira Chowk respectively, but still this happening place is called as CP - Connaught Place. The outer circle is known as Connaught Circus.
