Pasighat Hill Station

Pasighat is the headquarters of the east Siang region. This place is named after the word 'Pasis' a tribe area. It is at a height of about 155meters above sea level.

This place lies on the bank of the Siang River. This place is situated in the centre of the great Himalayas, huge dense forest and other valleys.

Pasighat hills is not actually situated in mountains, it is a small town on the foothills of the Arunachal Pradesh. Therefore the weather over here is always pleasant and cool during winter as well as in summers.

This place has some of the stunning views of the snow-clapped Himalayas, the great valleys, waterfalls and other hill surrounding the Pasighat hills. It is said that the sun first rises here in the country so people visiting here will get to see the incredible view of the sunrise raising between the hills.

There is a spectacular view of the two rivers meeting at one point, river Siang meeting with river Siom. People who are adventure lovers will have a great time river rafting in the Siang River as this is the perfect for this. Some also enjoy fishing and even angling. Trekking is also a favorite sport adventure of tourists; there are trainers who guide us for a safe ride.

Daying erring wildlife sanctuary:

This sanctuary is located just 13 kilometers away from Pasighat hills. This is one of the rare sanctuaries which are situated on an island. There are cruises for reaching the sanctuary through Siang River. This place preserves wild life such as wild elephant's, Deer's and small predators are also available here. There are glimpse of tigers here. During September to November this place is called as the Birds paradise as there are a large variety of migratory birds found here.


Pangin is located about 60 kilometers away from Pasighat hill, this is a point where river Siang meets Siom River providing mind blowing view of the sight. Here the green color water of the Siang River meets with the blue color of the Siom River this gives an awesome vista.


There are hotels and resorts ranging from economic class to luxury class with all amenities for the visitors. Along with this there are Siang guest houses and circuit house with low budget and all facilities for the tourists.

    Nearest railway station is the Murkong Selek which is just 35 kilometers away from Pasighat hills. There are buses and taxis available from station to destination.

    There are state transport buses and luxury buses available from Pasighat hills to all the major cities of India.
