Hotel Overview :

Hotel Lalgarh Palace was built between 1902-1926 by Maharajah Ganga Singh in the city of Bikaner. This palace was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob,and displays a magnificent blend of Oriental and European style. The Palace has several grand halls,lounges,cupolas and pavilions. This magnificent palace in imposing red sandstone is an example of pure Rajput martial architecture.

It is a sprawling red sandstone residence with separate wings,one of which is occupied by members of the royal family while another wing forms a museum. The palace museum displays well preserved hunting trophies and old photographs. The library of the palace is supposed to have the largest collection of original Sanskrit manuscripts on parchments,copper and gold or silver plaques.

Peacocks stroll around the palace which has been partly converted into a hotel. There are 38 well appointed rooms in the hotel Lallgarh Palace. Each room here is a suite with period furniture - four poster beds,chaise-lounges and exquisite carpets.
