Khwaja Gharib- Nawar Moin-ud-din Christ was one of the great scholars of Muslims. He holds a very prominent place as one the spiritual healers of the world. Hazrat Khwaja Moin-ud-din Hasan Chishty was popularly known as the Khwaja Gharib Nawaz was born in the year 1142 A.D. at Sanjar, Iran. His family is connected to Hazrat Imam Hussain and hence he is maternal Hazrat Imam Hussain and therefore he is a direct descendant of Prophet Muhammad.

It is true that to establish the historical facts; Wallis of Allah ha spread all the ethical and spiritual values of Islam. Wallis was the one who worked hard and effective to bring Islam on the place where it is now. He used to deliver lecture on the Philosophy of Quran to unite people and also worked out for prosperity of the human beings. Urs of Ajmer Sharif

There is a festival season that is called as the "Urs" celebrated in this Dargah. There are lakhs of people crowed her every year for this Urs that is held to celebrate the death anniversary of Khwaja Moin-ud-din Chishty. This Urs lasts for about 3 days and attracts pilgrims not only from our country, but also from all over the world. It is believed that whoever visits this Dargah never goes empty hand that is all their wishes are fulfilled here. There are many local vendors holding stalls of things that are required for offering inside the Dargah. The entrance of this Dargah is from the Dargah bazaar that leads to the main inner courtyard. There are silver doors that have a beautiful carving over them, there is also a silver railing that covers the main grave of the saint.

Roadways: There is regular Rajasthan bus service operated from Ajmer Sharif to Delhi, which is just 442 kilometers away, Mumbai is 986 kilometers and Kolkata is 1785 kilometers away.

Railways: There is a major rail line running that is Shatabdi express from Ajmer Sharif to all the main cities of India. This train starts from Delhi at 5.55 am and reaches Jaipur at 10.35 am, from Jaipur there are local buses and taxis to Ajmer Sharif.

Airways: Nearest airport to Ajmer Sharif is the Jaipur airport which is at a distance of 134 kilometers.

Best time to visit Ajmer Sharif

The best time to visit this place is during the Urs time which is held in May every year. This Dargah is open from morning 5 am to 10 pm in night.
