In India there are 20 million Christians approximately and the Christianity is the third largest religious affiliation after Hinduism and Islam. Christian churches are seen in all major towns in India.
The churches are mostly found in large numbers in the states like Goa, Nagaland, Kerala as well as Mizoram. This religion is mostly followed in multi-religious countries. In India the Christian festivals like the Good Friday and Christmas are celebrated all over the country.
In India majority of the Protestant Christians are found and in the Church of South India, formed in 1947 after the major Protestant, and in 1970 in the Church of North India. They all together form the half of the total Christians. Other half is the Roman Catholics.
